It’s good to listen to good music on the way back from work ; at night. Haven’t been listening to much music and then I woke up and (re)discovered very nice records. Weird or soft :
The Ex and Konono n°1, Piano Magic “love and music” … waooo, Prince “love sexy” (we’ve been through the second appearance of the word “love”) and a live from Miles Davis (dark magus : live at Carnegie Hall – 1974) really dark and groovy. I now know from where comes the rythmic parts of the Beastie Boys on “Ill Communication”, not only the beat actually, almost everything. Last but not least, a quick word about that nice man,
Dominique grimo, who makes music that comes from nowhere. Very very strange and paradoxical !
A few lazy informations :
The mix of the songs I’ve been recorded so far is over, though I’d like to change it every day, but it’s not my job so I’d better stop. Any good mixers ??
This will be called Undelivered. I couldn’t think of any other title. But I hope it will reach some of your ears.
Béatrice Rivoire, in French, a réalisé, uniquement au stylo bille (un stylobille a de l’encre sur 3 km), une série vraiment étonnante de petits formats, allongés très figuratifs. Recouverts d’acrylique, c’est très très beau. Impressionnant même.
And what else … well, it’s the end of july, I’m almost slower than ever and think of water all the time. So bye bye for now and enjoy the summer.
